I attended the Bond Solon Annual Expert Witness Conference in 2022 and 2023

I have done Expert Witness work since I started as a consultant in 1998. I have experience of preparing reports in orthopaedic personal injury cases. In recent years I have accepted instructions for Expert Witness reports only in cases where there have been injuries to the hip, and in clinical negligence regarding complications arising from hip replacement surgery. In these cases, I have been asked to provide reports on breach and causation, and condition and prognosis. I receive instructions on behalf of the claimant and defendant (75/25%). I currently do approximately 10-15 reports a year.

I have particular insight into, and experience of the problems associated with the failure of metal-on-metal hip replacements. I was involved in the litigation dealing with ‘mix and match’ hip implants.
